Rabies Vaccination
Or the Jab as Marie-Claire calls it!
and the Euro Microchip we needed….
So, Cliff and Shela outfitted us with these special harnesses for the road-trip to the Idaho Veterinary Hospital! Cliff said we had not had any leash work because we are not going out in the public and he wanted to check out these harnesses we got from Jackie. ZeeBolt wore the red harness and I was in Black which is more fitting for a guy don’t you think? We kept the collars we were wearing. Mine was a yellow OwyheeStar training collar and ZeeBolt’s was her usual Teal Collar that looks pretty worn. I guess they ordered us a couple of new collars that should arrive in the next couple of weeks.
Cliff weighed us while we waited to get in our Exam Room.
ZeeBolt’s Weight: 47 Lbs (47 lb = 21.3188 kg )
My (Pete) Weight: 44.5 Lbs (44.5 lb = 20.1848 kg)
Then we went in the little exam room and got acquainted with Dr. Calhoun. Three was a really cute girl there too!
We watched things unfold…
We sometime were both hanging on Cliff but mostly ZeeBolt hugged him!
Everyone said we did great! We didn’t even flinch and they stuck us with two different needles. We met more people as we left too. There was also bird on a lap and we each looked a lot at the bird in a cage. We had never seen such a thing before. Our birds mostly are in big pens or flying.
We also met two girls at the desk where Shela and Cliff talked about the bill. Whatever a bill might be….
In truth they seemed more interested in us than the paperwork but in the end we went out the door with everything. Cliff and Shela seemed really happy. Those cute girls seemed to like to see us. Everyone kept talking about us. They asked what kind of dog we were and we go duh –human. There was a lot of fuss and we felt special!
We plan to return to the same place On July 23rd and they said it will be another needle stick but they will be as gentle as possible. Then we hope we are done with the needles! ~ Love Pete (and woof woof too)
